Handmade porcelain lampshades
In the manufactory in Berlin-Wedding, the lampshades are made by hand using a traditional process with the utmost care.

After a while, the mold is taken apart is taken apart and the blank is carefully removed.

The lampshades are fired, glazed and finally fired again at 1250 degrees.
They are made from the very translucent soft porcelain Mont Blanc.

First, a plaster mold is made. After this has dried, it is completely filled with porcelain casting slip.
The plaster extracts moisture from the mass and after a few minutes a fine, increasingly thicker wall is formed. The excess material is poured off.

Small irregularities are carefully removed by hand.
